This last month project was based on a model created for a 2016 artwork you can see here: Self portrait

This project has been separated in 2 parts. The first one here, shows the process of cleaning an FDM 3D printed version, silicone moulding and resin casting an almost acceptable quality replica.

However due to excessive sanding to smooth the FDM printed model, many details have been erased therefore, Kuro Neko will come back in the 2nd part that should feature 3d printed resin model and a complete article about creating such models.
